Fnaf soulless4/30/2023 This can result in strange wording out of context. Unlike in previous encounters, the Fredbear Plush, now known as Glitchbear, carries on from the dialogue from Adventure Fredbear. He will appear in every minigame at the end of the night, excluding night 5 (the birthday), he reappears in the cutscene of night 5, some time later after the bite, talking to you. When he does this, his sprite distorts, with his Right foot, Left hand, and Right arm as well as both of his ears disconnecting from his body. His eyes are now yellow, and his mouth can distort in a way of actually speaking. Unlike before, he has arms and legs, which can move. In the spin-off RPG, FNAF World, the plush returns in a new, glitched out sprite. However, unlike others, the eyes of the plush can move, and commonly stare at the player. If you guys know a song I have missed, please tell me so I can add them to this list. The appearance of the plush is very similar to others of it's type A golden version of the Freddy Fazbear plush, with a purple tophat, purple bowtie, and soulless white eyes. *You Can't Escape Me by ChaoticCanineCulture *Welcome To Your Nightmares by Teamheadkick *Welcome To The Sister Location by Sayonara Maxwell & MiatriSs *This Game Cannot Be Beaten by Sayonara Maxwell, alternative cover by Mia & Rissy *This Game Cannot Be Beaten by Sayonara Maxwell *They'll Keep You Running by ChaoticCanineCulture Before we go over why she isn’t ballora, let’s look at why she is Ballora: Ballora is female. Clicky clicky4/30/2023 That said, I think of the hundred keyboards I regularly obtain in one batch, and perhaps as many as 80 or 85 percent of them can be fully restored. "Often times, the spring tension doesn't feel right, or there's a deep gouge in the plastic, or a previous person put a property tag on it. "For any 30-year-old keyboard, there are a thousand little pieces of failure," Ermita says. "Originally, the plan was simply to document the variety and publish online some of the rich history of the Model M keyboards," he says. The force of the bent spring pushes the key cap (and your finger) back up.Įrmita began Clicky Keyboards to prepare for upcoming online academic database projects for Princeton. As you press the key, you feel progressively stronger resistance until the hammer snaps down on the electrical contact and the spring collapses. It's a simple design: a key cap mounted on a spring mounted on a hammer. IBM patented the buckling spring key switch in 1978. The means of activating that contact is mechanized. Keystrokes register by way of electric signals sent from a contact beneath each key, which are sent to the computer through a wire. Computer keyboards have no lever and no type bar. Typewriter keyboards feel the way they do because each key connects to a lever that, when pressed, acts on a type bar that presses ink to page. Though somewhat antiquated, these old keyboards still showcase some nice innovations. That "feeling" is exemplified by the Model M, and has helped create a surprisingly large market for a 30-year-old piece of equipment that weighs five pounds. Mechanical (or clicky) keyboards improve typing speed and help eliminate carpal tunnel syndrome-but the real draw is the tactile feel of typing on a real keyboard it's the reaction of feeling the physical switches under the keys. He finds, buys, rebuilds, and then sells IBM Model M keyboards to nostalgic, discerning geeks through his website. But no one better understands that romantic pull, or works harder to preserve it, than Brandon Ermita.Įrmita runs Clicky Keyboards, a side job to his regular gig as Princeton University's IT manager. That signature click-clack-probably louder than it should be in polite office society-generated by rapid-fire key presses with your flying fingers is something mostly lost to our touchscreens and our modern, ultra-slim, low-travel keyboards. I plan to update it to a newer version soon and that update should bring in a bunch of new word senses for many words (or more accurately, lemma).Few things in the computing world are as viscerally satisfying as typing on an old-school mechanical keyboard. Special thanks to the contributors of the open-source code that was used in this project: the UBY project (mentioned above), and express.js.Ĭurrently, this is based on a version of wiktionary which is a few years old. I simply extracted the Wiktionary entries and threw them into this interface! So it took a little more work than expected, but I'm happy I kept at it after the first couple of blunders. The researchers have parsed the whole of Wiktionary and other sources, and compiled everything into a single unified resource. That's when I stumbled across the UBY project - an amazing project which needs more recognition. However, after a day's work wrangling it into a database I realised that there were far too many errors (especially with the part-of-speech tagging) for it to be viable for Word Type.įinally, I went back to Wiktionary - which I already knew about, but had been avoiding because it's not properly structured for parsing. This caused me to investigate the 1913 edition of Websters Dictionary - which is now in the public domain. I initially started with WordNet, but then realised that it was missing many types of words/lemma (determiners, pronouns, abbreviations, and many more). The dictionary is based on the amazing Wiktionary project by wikimedia. And since I already had a lot of the infrastructure in place from the other two sites, I figured it wouldn't be too much more work to get this up and running. I had an idea for a website that simply explains the word types of the words that you search for - just like a dictionary, but focussed on the part of speech of the words. Both of those projects are based around words, but have much grander goals. For those interested in a little info about this site: it's a side project that I developed while working on Describing Words and Related Words. Discovery benefits4/30/2023 Thanks to the functionality of OnBase, those are two-day projects instead of two-months. With 90 percent of Discovery Benefit’s staff in OnBase eight hours a day, the IT team has to work fast to keep up with internal process changes. “If we didn’t have OnBase, we would need roughly 80 or 90 claims specialists to keep up with the incoming claim volume.” “This breaks down to 300 claims processed per claims specialist per day,” said Johnson. Currently, the provider is processing an average of 12,500 claims per day. Before OnBase, Discovery Benefits processed 1,500 to 2,000 claims a day – about 60 to 80 per claims specialist. “We saved around $3 million in paper costs alone since deploying OnBase-about $500,000 a year,” said Dean Johnson, OnBase senior engineer at Discovery Benefits. In our claims department we have less people today than six years ago with four times the business." John Biwer "Thanks to the efficiencies created with OnBase, we have absorbed tremendous growth. Discovery Benefits’ staff spend far less time fielding calls from customers and searching for paperwork. Once uploaded into the system, Discovery Benefits offers customers the option of viewing their forms online so they can see the status of their claims and whether they need to follow up with more information. Whether through fax, email, receipt upload or regular mail, information is sent via electronic forms to OnBase, where they are automatically indexed based on the claim number. As the staff has grown from 120 to more than 800, the organization has cut out the barriers of paperwork and let employees take on more essential responsibilities-like using OnBase to review accounts electronically and discover uncollected fees.ĭiscovery Benefits has achieved one business day turnaround of all claims coming in to the company. The company has processed just over 313 million documents into and through OnBase, with nearly 130 million still in the system. Since deploying OnBase in 2008, Discovery Benefits has grown from providing benefits for 1.25 million people to more than 10.5 million. That’s when Discovery Benefits discovered OnBase by Hyland. Leaders realized they needed to find a profitable way to grow. The company was also overwhelmed with the overtime costs associated with a manual customer renewal process each year. With a customer relationship management (CRM) tool that provided limited reporting functions, getting information to customers and managers about the status of a claim meant digging through paper files. Manual tracking and data entry required staff to pass paper forms back and forth between teams. The complex, multi-step procedure for receiving, sorting and processing claims at Discovery Benefits was slow and involved too many touch points. Soul reaper4/30/2023 Raziel automatically shifts to the spectral realm if he runs out of health. Raziel can freely shift to the spectral realm, but can return to the material realm only through special portals when at full health. Initially unarmed, he fights using his claws, but can alternatively use weapons such as rocks, torches, spears and staffs, and the Soul Reaver. Īt first, Raziel can jump, glide using his torn wings, move blocks, and pick up and throw objects and enemies. Possession of the Soul Reaver sword stops automatic degeneration of health in the physical realm, but Raziel loses the sword instantly if he sustains damage and can regain it only by restoring his health to full. When killed, enemies leave behind souls that replenish Raziel's health, which automatically decreases in the material realm and increases in the spectral. Human and spectral enemies can be killed with Raziel's claws or any weapon, but vampires must be bludgeoned into a stunned state and then destroyed by impaling them, setting them on fire, or tossing them into a hazard such as sunlight or water. Each brood of vampire enemies has unique powers reminiscent of their clan leader. In the spectral realm, players fight minor enemies called Sluagh and the souls of dead vampires who have become wraiths. Human enemies include peasants, vampire hunters and vampire worshippers. Raziel's enemies are grouped into humans, spectral creatures, and most commonly, vampires. The same location in the material and spectral realms.Ĭombat in Soul Reaver is a hack and slash system, involving the use of combinations of various different attacks before a finishing move. Block puzzles are also common and require the rotation, flipping, and moving of large blocks to progress, often with a time limit and while avoiding enemies. Many puzzles are based on the differences between the two realms for example, platforms and environment features in one realm may change form to open new paths in the other. Although interaction with objects is limited in the spectral realm, this can be advantageous, because Raziel can phase through otherwise impassable gates there, and water is insubstantial, allowing him to walk on lakebeds however, blocks, doors, and switches can be manipulated only in the physical realm. Gameplay relies largely on shifting between the material and spectral planes of existence to progress through areas. The game is normally shown from a third-person perspective behind Raziel, but players can rotate the viewpoint around him. The player controls Raziel, a disfigured and ghostly vampire. By 2001, the game sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. However, the game was criticized for simple and repetitive gameplay and an unsatisfying climax. Soul Reaver was generally well received by critics and praised for its intriguing gothic story and high-quality graphics. This and other delays forced material originally planned for Soul Reaver to be instead released with later games of the series. Raziel shares this title with Kain's sword, the Soul Reaver, which he acquires during the game.Ĭrystal Dynamics began development of the game in 1997, but a deteriorating relationship with Silicon Knights, who had developed Blood Omen, created legal problems. Raziel is killed by Kain, but is revived by The Elder God to become his "soul reaver" and to exact revenge. Taking place 1500 years after the events of Blood Omen, Soul Reaver chronicles the journey of the vampire-turned- wraith Raziel, lieutenant to the vampire lord Kain. Soul Reaver was followed by three games, one of which, Soul Reaver 2, is a direct sequel. As the second game in the Legacy of Kain series, Soul Reaver is the sequel to Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain. It was released for the PlayStation and Microsoft Windows in 1999 and for the Dreamcast in 2000. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is an action-adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. World finance4/30/2023 The financial crisis exposed the limitations of relying upon a loose network of soft-law standard-setters and an inadequate system of resolution of financial crises. Globalization has also challenged the traditional law-making process. As a consequence, financial markets need to rely on different levels of governance (e.g., banking union in the EU is a recognition of this need at a regional level). Indeed, all these institutions transcend national boundaries, and so do financial stability and systemic risk. Paradoxically, when it comes to modern financial markets, sovereignty is an inadequate principle to deal with financial conglomerates, complex groups and, generally, with cross-border institutions and markets. What it has to be critically emphasized is that, despite the fact that the financial crisis was global, the solutions to the problems were in the main national. Globalization has magnified the impact and geographic outreach of systemic risk, and the globalization and liberalization of financial markets have proceeded at a much faster pace than the development of an appropriate international legal and institutional framework. The analysis starts with the broad observation that globalization has changed the traditional understanding of financial markets and has led to the emergence of multinational banks, financial groups and new instruments and markets that operate across jurisdictions. Then, after investigating the current coexistence of national laws and institutions and global financial markets, she considers the emerging lex financiers and debates the need for a World Financial Organization (WFO). In this forward-thinking article, Professor Lastra examines the rationale of international regulation and discuss the inadequacy of the principle of sovereignty for the regulation of cross-border financial institutions. Professor Lastra discusses the need for a World Financial Organization as a mean to prevent future crisis. Think like a man cast4/30/2023 Even with the mama’s boy thing, I had dated a girl for almost a year and she protected me from meeting her kid for almost a year and then when I met the kid it didn’t work because you’re adding in a whole different dynamic. I don’t have children yet, but I have friends and that’s always a dilemma. When he says they’ll just make it dinner, that’s when she decides that maybe this guy is different. There’s a slight assumption that maybe he won’t want to go out with her because she has a child. Tim set up the dynamic when they meet in the bookstore. In the first scene after their date she hesitates and decides to introduce them. Steve’s advice is if you’re a mom and you think this guy has any potential you need to introduce him to your son right away because if he doesn’t like your son, or you son doesn’t like him, your relationship can’t go anywhere. The elder scrolls 6 beta4/30/2023 You know, through assassinations and stuff because there is a lot of kind of petty, political squabbling that’s sort of inherent to their society.” So we got to really dig into all the medieval feudalism, what goes on with the various noble houses, how they interact with each other, and how they try to work around each other or through each other. So the lore was kind of flat, it wasn’t particularly deep. People get stuck on them living in sort of the generic fantasy space, which I think is pretty rough. “e knew we wanted to get the Breton’s, but like you said, we know a lot about them but it’s all this sort of surface information, right? It’s like, we know that they have a kind of Knightly society. Exploring Breton culture, especially digging into the more interesting aspects of building this year-long story according to The Elder Scrolls Online’s Loremaster Leamon Tuttle. This year’s story centers on the Bretons themselves, an oft-forgotten race among the rest of Tamriel. “So we try to show that kind of evolution.” “We wanted to take the what the Bretons were known for and show what would happen if they moved it to the Mediterranean,” Slaviscek says. The High Isles are full of medieval touchstones, with castles, tournament grounds and more that speak to the feudal life that the Bretons live within What we see is a mix of the feudal society we saw on the mainland with the flourishes and flair of Mediterranean life. High Isle itself draws from both Breton culture in the Elder Scrolls lore, but also from the architecture of the Mediterranean region. The problem comes from their methods for doing that.” On the surface, they have a very noble cause: let’s end the war. But they’re kind of protesting the Three Banners War. Nobody knows who they are under their helmets. “They are a group of, I guess we call them rogue knights,” ESO’s lead writer Bill Slaviscek told MMORPG in an interview last week when asked a bit about the background of The Ascendant Order. Drawn there by peace talks intended to end the Three Banners War at the heart of The Elder Scrolls Online, however political intrigue encompasses the isle, especially with The Ascendant Order on the prowl. I really want to give it a run at some point, but the install will be so big, and I’m always overwhelmed by how much stuff there is and the fact that people are running around in my bubble and existing… Which isn’t a knock on ESO specifically, but on MMOs in general. The team at ZeniMax is once again telling a story over the course of this year, titled the “Legacy of the Bretons,” taking players to the Systres Archipelago where the isle of, well, High Isle is located. I spent the money, bought the discs at the store, and I’ve not yet installed it. Speaking of ESO… I haven’t played it yet. I check my emails so infrequently that, back during the NDA’d ESO beta I had actually been invited into the beta several times, but I didn’t realise it until the game was given the full release and cost money! Now, I just need to remember to check my emails. The beta is under a non-disclosure agreement, so if you sign up, you are not permitted to disclose details about the beta. There isn’t a monstrous load of information out at present, but information is coming out, and you can sign up for the closed beta at. I’ve never been interested in such card games in the past, and I almost (almost!) want to dislike the game based on that alone, but being the loyal fanboy that I am, I’ve decided I’d sign up for the beta and give it a trial run. Not that I am knocking on the premise of the game or on ESO, of course. It’s not a full-blown Elder Scrolls single player game, nor is it the multiplayer ESO, but after years of not having an interesting TES release, any TES release is a good release. I figured this would be something to make, since it’s a TES-related post and I never write them.Īfter not hearing about it for so long that I forgot it was a thing, that bizarre online card game called Legends has been publicly announced to be in a closed beta, with additional information and demos coming at the gaming conferences this year. Since I am now convinced that it is rather a txs problem than a tex problem I attached my txsprofile. I just do the standard "F1" build, but it actually does not work if I remove the user defined command. Funny enough, I am not even running the user command now. from time to time I delete all but one of them but they keep coming back. And also the user defined command gets duplicated by itself. I am still confused as to why this is necessary. Txs also shows the bibliography file in the structure tab. Now I changed it back to "txs:///biber" and added a "user command" in the settings- configure txs- build menu:Īnd I get a bibliography as well as autocomplete. When I changed it to "biber" it worked, but then there was no autocomplete. The citations all appeared correctly, but there was no bibliography. Previously when I went to settings- configure txs- build (advanced options turned on) I had changedīecause it would not generate a bibliography if I did not do that. I had some problems with the Build settings. Alright I figured something out- it is in a working state for me, but in a weird one. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
